Bullock likes to lift the negative of images. He expressed, in a video playing at the gallery, that the negative could look extremely different from the original and sometimes better. I think this is what gives his work so much power. Wynn Bullocks pictures are vivid and full-of-life, his work is simply brilliant. In the gallery is a quote from Albert Einstein quoted by Bullock: "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead —his eyes are closed. "
To me his photography looks like that of a fantasy. He has a unique approach to capturing the world in one frame.
