If your like my family, you are spending Christmas away from home. It's been hard to get into the spirit this year since we can't decorate our home/ get a tree. However, don't be discouraged, your home away from home can be festive and cheery. Here are some simple ways to make your Christmas vacation your own.
Hang a festive paper garland like this across the dinning room window. This will give your dining space the added Christmas touch while you eat, drink, & share stories.
Hang a simple strand of white lights. This will create great ambiance and you can hang them anywhere.
Create some traditional popcorn garland, it's a simple and cheap craft that is perfect for cozying by the fireside.
Warm up with drinks from the bar. Cinnamon Goldschlager is perfect for winter travels and adds some glam with it's gold flakes.
We couldn't get a christmas tree this year so we cut down some branches from pines outside our cabin. In the middle of a blizzard my sister, mom and I ran around looking for the perfect tree to cut down. This is the best we could do under the circumstances and it turned out pretty cute. We covered them with silver tinsel and the popcorn garland.
Enjoy yourself and have a Merry Christmas!
